Getting into the world of blogging can seem overwhelming because there are so many choices available. What to write, what to talk about, who will read my stuff?
There is no one hit wonder here that will guarantee you success. The information in this blog article can help you design and launch a blog that accomplishes your goals and reaches your intended audience.
Comments On/Off
Make sure that you are accepting and submitting comments on your blog. You really want your blog to be kind of interactive with the comments. Get people talking about your article. This helps your “back linking” as well. This means, having your URL (website) so when others are commenting, they can click on your profile and connect to you as well. So they will know how to visit your own blog.
Avoid writing about things that you have no interest in. Or even worse, don’t know much about that subject you are on . This will reflect in your own writing and you could possibly be labeled as an un-informed blogger. This will for sure put readers off.
Email Listing
Create an email subscription list for your blog or website. On your site, offer a place for people to sign up for these updates and send them out every time you post a new blog or you have something new to show them. Preferably, right hand side. Look at my website as an example. If you are an affiliate, I would highly suggest Aweber or Get Response. These are the two I’ve tried, and Aweber is my favorite. You can see that I’ve provided a subscription box almost everywhere to make it easier for others to follow me or sign up to me.
Content
Keep your blogs as clear and concise as possible. Comprehensive coverage is very important, but writing a 3,000 word blog post will possibly make the reader not finish up your article. Readers don’t care about lengthy descriptions, they want you to get to the point quickly so they can learn what they came to find out. They want you to get to the point. So keep that in mind. Stop writing so much thinking that writing more might get you on page one of Google. Not true.
Keep your individual post focused on one point. I like to mix up my posts on my website, however I like to make sure i’m covering my niche market. So in some of my blog posts, I mention about the network i’m part of, some other posts is strictly about Positive Mindset and how you can achieve amazing success with the power of your mind, or just basic articles about how to blog properly or tips on how you can make money through your blogging.
Your blog posts are the most important thing in your website or blog site. With no blogs, you have no traffic.
Consistency is key to Traffic
Make sure to post content regularly to keep your readers coming in. Keep looking for ways to get more people to come to your website. Use WordPress reader to follow other bloggers, and interact with them so you can get the same back. Other bloggers like following fellow bloggers.
Use Pinterest to share your stories, through your “images” in your blog posts. Each image can be “pinned” to Pinterest, which gives is a link automatically, when posted on Pinterest. So when a user on Pinterest click on that “image” it takes them straight back to your blog. Remember to create a Pinterest account first so you can Share your pictures from your blogs. You can get an example from my own Pinterest Account .
Successful blogs usually post new material every day. Don’t let this overwhelm you. If you want, you can write before to taking your blog or website live, so when you do launch your website, you will be prepared with material to share with your readers.
Headers (H1, H2, H3)
Always make sure you use header tags in your posts. Each section must start with some sort of header. Tags that you should use are H1, H2, and H3 tags. The most important thing in getting your blogs ranged on page one of Google, is through the use of proper Keyword Searching. You must learn how to search high-ranking keywords that your blog will use.
Remember, High Traffic/Low Competition is what we are looking for in terms of the best keywords to use. I have an article about that and a video tutorial on how to use the Google Keyword Planner.
Your focused keywords must be in your Article’s Title section, Body Section and in the last paragraph as well if you like. This would be considered “Great” SEO for your blog article. Even better is to focus on specific keywords in each section of your article. Each section (paragraph) with its own “keyword” is considered even better SEO practices.
